Is MySignUp for You? • MySignUp.com is for you if: • You have any type of group that you need to find out the “Who, What, When, Where and How” for an upcoming event, task or the like. • Your group has access to the web. • You can contact the people that will visit your page and tell them where • You want an organized, visible and controlled signup.

Is it easy to do? • Yes! • No special computer skills are required. • Each step is simple and quick to create • This instruction guide will teach you all about: • How to create a MySignUp • How to tell your group about the signup. • How they can go and signup. • How you can see the sign-up at any time. • How you can get the sign-up at the end.

  4. So.. What is it? • Think of your signup as being like a common piece of paper.. • Just like the piece of paper you passed around at the last meeting.. • Except MySignUp will not came back empty and hard to read.

  5. So.. What is it? • MySignUp uses any web browser • AOL • Internet Explorer • Netscape • Any web browser!

  6. A simple example Say you were responsible for getting one person per hour to “cover” three tables at a “spring fling” it might look like the next page.

  7. Note that each place for a for a signup has only one space for a name. But what about phone #? And…. What can you expect back after the meeting?

  8. You get back something that is….. UNREADABLE! Some spaces are empty Some are messy Some are scratched out but appear to be filled

  9. A simple title will Be the name of Your site.. http/mysignup.com/springfling You can provide instructions. Your email is provided for questions You pick the Headers… One click will allow them to pick the slot and signup with up to 6 pieces of info. User Clicks Here You can control the signup from here

What’s the hardest part? • About the hardest part is to realize how MySignUp is different from a paper signup • Often, on paper an entire line is used for one signup. • MySignUp is like a checkerboard. Where each square is a single signup. • This is possible because the signup is on the web not on paper • It allows you to “double up” on the information you need to ask.

  15. So, How do I start? Think of your signup as a checker board Each checker square is one person’s agreement to do one thing. When they agree to that one thing, they will be able to give up to 6 pieces of information about themselves. CLICK HERE

  16. 2 Dimensions • A common problem people have is not being able to realize the number of row and columns • Where there seems to be only one. • This might be a class signup, then the 2nd dimension is the # of people. • Solve this by numbering the columns 1 to total people • Where there seems to be more than 2. (3 or more) • This could be because there are 2 signups in one. For example. Two things happening at the same time. • Solve this by creating separate signups, either with different signups or just lower down on the same signup.

Notify your SignUp Users • You will be the one to let people know about your MySignUp. • People will not “surf the web” to your site. • You will pick both a “Title” and a “WebSite” name • The title will be seen at the top of the page. • Example. With Website = “springfling” and Title of “XYZ Elem School Spring Fling” • They will go to: http://mysignup.com/springfling • The page will say “XYZ Elem School Spring Fling”
