Challenges to the Future(I.) • Increasing the volume of Slovak ODA to 0,17% GDP by 2010 • Programme focus (specialisation, closer sectoral orientation, reduction of priority countries) • Improving the effectiveness of aid • Built-upof newly established Slovak Agency for International Development Cooperation • Cooperation with other donors in the field (monitoring, evaluation, demand driven approach)
Challenges to the Future (II.) • Drafting of the National Law on Development Assistance in year 2007 • Improving reporting and cooperation with the OECD/DAC • Intensive work with public and target groups (development education / public awareness) • Active approach in the EU institutions and ODA bodies
