What you can do to get ready… Get ready by: Printing a copy of your career brief for reference Gathering / storing relevant documentation (DD-214, transcripts, etc.) Developing narrative statements that describe your past experience to include in your Avue profile “resume” Log on to www.dodcivjobs.us to become familiar with the new DoD*ESS system (Avue Digital Services) and create your applicant account

You should continue to go to the AFPC Secure and USAJOBs websites A link to the DoD*ESS Avue website will be located on the AFPC Secure website to redirect you to AF pilot vacancies Vacancy announcements posted on USAJOBs will contain a link to the DoD*ESS Avue website to redirect you on AF pilot vacancies

Stay ready by… Creating a complete, detailed profile “resume” outlining your experience, education, training, etc. Applying to all vacancy announcements for all positions and grade levels for which you are interested in being considered Identifying your job search interests so you will be automatically notified when vacancy announcements are posted Maintaining your DoD*ESS account by reviewing your profile “resume” periodically and identifying any new vacancies you are interested in and apply
