APL raised an issue with DSMAC data loading last week which will be discussed in a telcon Tuesday afternoon, 2/29/00. There may be an impact to MM design, depending on the outcome. • TTWCS LAC DEVELOPMENT • For TTWCS, OPNAV Memo N864F tasks PMA 281 to expand the capabilities of ETEPP to provide LAC tools for use when LAC is on-board a TTWCS platform. This is interpreted to mean TTWCS has been relieved of any requirement to provide tools for a LAC. • According to Tom Depew, LMVF TTWCS contract has already been amended to delete LAC. Tom has opposed removing requirements until written direction is received from PMA 282. • ATWCS LAC DEVELOPMENT • K Dept expects OPNAV to publish a Memo similar to the TTWCS memo, relieving ATWCS of requirements to provide on-board LAC tools. • Gene Oliver has the lead in conducting a study of alternatives to implement the new LAC guidance, when it is received. • No changes to the current ATWCS Build 1.7.1 will be made until specific guidance is received. • Study results to date are scheduled to be briefed to the SEWG on Wednesday, 3/1/00. The brief may be repeated to the SET on Thursday, 3/2/00.
