Department Policy • The T&F branch follows the Institute general guidelines which state that employees should dress in a modest and professional manner, appropriate to the specific job and workplace. • Special occasions may require more formal attire.
Women • Dresses, suits, and skirts no shorter than two inches above the knee. Ankle length dress slacks (wools, linens or silk blends). Khaki slacks will be considered. • Elements that may be added include long or short sleeve blouses with jackets or vests, coordinating sweater, or suit jacket.
Generally Unacceptable • Denim (of any color) shirts, skirts, pants, culottes, jeans, Capris, sweatpants/shirts, t-shirts, tank tops, sport shirts, sleeveless tops, sun dresses, spandex leggings/stirrup or form fitting pants, shorts, bib overalls, torn/soiled/ill-fitting garments. • Spaghetti straps • Sport slacks
Footwear Description Loafers, boots, flats, dress sandals or low pumps may be worn. Any dress sandal must have strap around back.
