  1. Enterprise Training Management FrameworkProject Update Bruce Bare, NETC N62 Emmett Henderson, H2 Performance Consulting 02 April 2012 ETMF Project

  2. ETMF Overview Project Charter: A Three Pronged Approach • Document and analyze the existing, “As-Is” state of the core business processes required to develop, manage and deliver training curricula • Analyze the data to identify any duplication, inefficiencies, and/or process improvement opportunities to strengthen business practices and/or rules that maximize IT support resources • Assess the current system design and interfaces between the core training management systems to determine the most efficient alignment and to identify opportunities to leverage Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) best practices ETMF Project

  3. Discovery Objectives • Define the processes • Products (outputs) • Resources (inputs and mechanisms) • Constraints (controls) • Feedback (mechanisms) • Describe the relationship between the processes • Identify owner of each process • Determine which systems (services) contribute to other processes and to what degree • Intrinsic value • Derived value • Functional Capability ETMF Project

  4. Discovery Objectives • Recommend strategies that will support NETC’s ability to continue the quality and quantity of education while controlling (reducing) costs • Identify any opportunities to maximize efficiencies by aligning legacy systems into an integrated framework • Seek ways to improve overall value by consolidating functionality between systems • Determine methods for measuring the value of systems • Identify a realistic target ETMF Project
