  3. ΟΔΚ’s Five Core Values • ODK is first of all a leadership society. We then recognize achievement in the following five areas: • Scholarship • Athletics • Campus/ Community Service, Social/Religious Activities, and Campus Government • Journalism, Speech and the Mass Media • Creative and Performing Arts

  4. How Do I Become a Member? • Check your email for an application form approval • Attend 5 ODK Events • 1 must be an Adopt-A-Spot • 1 must be a service or scholarly event • 3 can be your choice • Attend the mandatory induction ceremony on December 6th • ***MBA students please contact Starre ASAP • Pay the $110 National Fee by November 21st!

  5. How Do I Earn Points? • Points are tallied by semester • Each event you attend gets you points! • General Meeting  1pt • Social Event  2pts • Scholarly Event  3pts • Service Event  4pts** • For service only events, members accumulate 2 pts per hour. Most service events last 2 hours, thus service events are typically 4pts.

  6. How Do I Earn Free ODK Gear? • Fall 2014 gear list: • 10 points - ODK Pen • 15 points - ODK Pen, and ODK Koozie • 20 points - ODK Pen, ODK Koozie, and ODK Decal • 30 points - ODK Pen, ODK Koozie, ODK Decal, and Graduation Cords** • **Graduation Cords can be purchased by any inducted member of ODK from the national website (www.odk.org) for $19. However if you earn 30 points in a semester we will give them to you for FREE!

  10. First Adopt-A-Spot • Saturday, September 27th (9:00am – 11:00am) • Send groups out AT 9:00! Be there before for snacks • Meet in front of the Convocation Center (parking lot side) • Donuts and coffee will be provided • Gloves and bags are provided • Friends/family/pets are welcome! • 4 service points

  11. Habitat for Humanity • October 4th (7:00am – 3:00pm) • Meet in front of Convocation Center • We will carpool from there • MUST RSVP BY MIDNIGHT TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 23rd • Email secretary@odkutsa.org with name, number, and shirt size • This will count as 14 service points!
