  1. Background • When? • Formed in July of 2002 as a result of the Southern Colorado Technology Summit • Why? • To assist in the development of a comprehensive plan to address the Southern Colorado digital divide and technology literacy

  2. Organizational Structure • 501(c)(6) – Unincorporated Business Association • Service Based • Community Leadership • Business Leadership • Formal Board of Directors • Annual election of officers • General Membership • Annual Dues

  3. Mission To provide leadership and assist in the utilization of technology as a tool in order to build a prosperous community with a high quality life style

Vision • To establish partnerships with and to assist other Southern Colorado organizations, businesses, and community members with technology • To help Southern Colorado understand and use technology to its full potential • To provide guidance and assist with: • Community service projects (technology related) • Community planning projects • Fiscal partnerships • Technological speaking engagements and events • To provide focus on: • Social Technology • Technology in Business • Technology in the Home • Technology in Education • Technology in Government

  5. Membership • Open to everyone • Business owners • Non-Profit Agencies • Teachers • Students • Home users • Government entities General Public is Welcome and Encouraged!

  6. Benefits of Membership • Opportunity to serve the Pueblo community and Southern Colorado • Networking opportunities • Direct contact with the people that can answer technology questions • Community forums to discuss various aspects for the application of technology
