  3. Sargon of Akkad • Has a very exciting and interesting story associated with his rise to power • Popularized in public recitations, plays, songs, and other forms of art. • Started out as a lowly cupbearer, becomes the first man to create an Empire.

  5. Music • Lyres and other stringed instruments were the most common. • Later finds uncovered wind instruments and drums. • Music was often used in religious rituals, especially in the worship of Innana.
