  2. Grades - Each grade gives a certain number of points. • A = 4.0 • B = 3.0 • C = 2.0 • D = 1.0 • F = 0.0

  3. Credits Each class gives a certain number of credits. • Some are 4 credit classes • Most are 3 credit classes • There are also several 1 credit classes ( such as Cor100)

  4. Grade Points • The grade point is the product of the grade weight multiplied by the number of credits. • Calculus 1 is a 4 credit class. When you get a ‘B’ in the class, your grade weight is: 4 x 3 = 12. • Similarly if you get an A in History 201 which is a 3 credit course, your grade weight is again: 4(the grade weight) x 3(the credits) = 12.

  5. The GPA • The GPA is the average of all your Grade Points.
