“Stretch” or tape your paper. • Working off the large grouping of objects in front of you, block out (visually) an interesting composition. You may find a view finder helpful here. • Work directly on the paper (no pencil drawing) to “draw” your composition with your brush. • Work with thin paint, heavy paint, and varied size brushes.
You do not need to use the true color scheme. • Work the whole paper all at once. • You may overlap lines if needed. • When you have covered the page, step back and observe your piece. You may be finished, or may choose to add additional lines (or light washes) to complete the piece.
