  2. Budget Proposal Includes: • Softball Facility Reservation Cost • Umpires • Equipment • Transportation Cost • Miscellaneous

  3. Facilities • Name: Godwin-Coppage Park • Purpose of Use: Conference games and Tournaments • Rate: $250 per rental • Justification: We need to use the Godwin-Coppage field to host our home games. Having multiple fields allows for multiple games at once and places to warm up. Also where we will host our tournament!

  4. Umpires • Number of umpires per game: 2 • Cost per official: $65 • Cost for officials per game: $130 • Total official cost (Estimated 8 teams, Winner’s/Loser’s bracket): $1,430 • Justification: The National Club Softball Association requires that we provide two umpires per game for all conference and tournament games. We must have a home plate and field umpire.

  5. Umpires continued… • Home Games-Conference schedule has not been decided but we could have 1 to 3 games of 3 game series. • Cost for 2 officials per game: $130 • 3 game series: $390 • Total approximate home games=9: $1,170

  6. Equipment • Softballs: A.D. Starr softballs • Total number: two dozen • Total cost: $92 ($46 per dozen) • Total Cost of Equipment: $92 • Justification: The National Club Softball Association requires that we use the A.D. Starr softballs. We must provide softballs at all home events.

  7. Transportation • Total number of possible trips: 3 • Vans needed for each trip: 2 • Total number of vans needed:6 • Total roundtrip mileage: 1,324 • Justification: We have 3 conference games in Chapel Hill, NC, Wilmington, NC, and Durham, NC.

  8. Miscellaneous • Total cost: $500 • We like to get the team new apparel so that we can represent East Carolina University on and off the field as the ECU Club Softball team.
