  7. Introduction • Background on topic • Previous relevant research that highlights problem under study in the paper • Hypothesis or purpose of study • Clearly defines IV and DV

  8. Method • Subsections • Subjects / participants • Materials / apparatus • Procedure • Purpose is for replication

  9. Results • Summarizes data collected • Statistics used to analyze data • Results of tests • Tables • Graphs / figures • Results should not be explained in this section

  10. Discussion • Hypothesis supported? • Explanation of findings • Relationship of findings to previous work • Implications • Suggestions for future research

  11. References • Listing of all sources used in body of paper • APA format
