Upgrades For Run9 | PHENIX, BNL HBD HV Control System HBD Meeting :: December 23rd, 2008 PROJECT: dV = 0 • Step 1: In order to accomplish the project’s goal, the fundamental prerequisite is knowing the ACTUAL voltage we’re applying… • Issue: Difference between DV, MV (mainframe) & actual voltage supplied • Solution: Calibration Curves for all channels • Step 2: What voltage ends up being supplied to the GEM/Mesh? • Issue: Resistor values only known by color code (…) • Solution: Measurement of all resistors installed on divider board • Step 3: What is going to be The Mesh Voltage for RB? • Issue: Who knows? • Solution: 1+1 Mesh Voltage Sweep during +/- config and ADC readout files for every sweep voltage analysis peak of PE vs. Mesh V. Upgrades For Run9 | PHENIX, BNL HBD HV Control System HBD Meeting :: December 23rd, 2008 PROJECT PROGRESS • Under IR Access > MF Calibration, HV Control runs a calibration procedure automatically for every channel, while the Fluke via divider records every second (FlukeView) the output voltage of the particular channel on the LeCroy • After initial non-linearity problems (unknown current development), further calibration work will be done (…) • ALL resistors have been measured with Fluke in nS through FlukeView with 20 stable events each for average calculation • These will be out shortly… available in the hvdb database • ALL take-out resistors have been labeled with an unique position code • From now on, any future changes can be done safely without any mix-up!
