Buster Bronco www.wmubroncos.com/spirit/buster_photos.html • The name for Western’s mascot was selected in 1981 through a student contest. • Buster was hired to be the mascot for WMU in 1988. • He is a member of the WMU cheer team. • He can be seen cheering for the Broncos at most of Western’s home games and some of the away games as well. • Buster’s favorite Bronco fans are the children.   6. Biography Page I am a student at Western Michigan University studying Elementary Education. This is my last semester at WMU before starting my teaching internship in the fall of 2004. I hope to become a Kindergarten teacher in the future because I love teaching young children and an excited about building a foundation of knowledge for their future. I think the spirit of Western Michigan University is one that should be recognized and that is why I developed this presentation. The End!
