LIVING HISTORY PROJECT 1ST Quarter = Create a timeline that will range from the birth of someone two generations ago up to the present year – for example: a grandparent born in 1950 up to the current year - 2011. The timeline will be organized into three segments: Two generations back – example = 1950-1975 (Grandparents’ Age) One generation back – example = 1975-2000 (Parents’ Age) Your generation – example = 2000-2011 (Your Age) Your timeline will be divided into 3 segments representing each of the 3 generations. In each of those 3 segments, you must include one important political, one cultural, one environmental and one scientific event. Your must also include one personal event in each of the 3 segments. This will give you a total of 15 events dated on the timeline. Dates: Live Line (+5 Bonus) October 7; Due Date October 14
SCORING: 40 Points Total 10 = Organization: sequence and dates of events are in proper order; this also includes how you arranged the 3 segments based on the 3 generations 10 = Neatness: everything is easy to read; this includes composition and font size; your paper is the quality of a finished product • 10 = Content: 15 or more events are included; you included one important political, one cultural, one environmental , one scientific and one personal event in each of the 3 segments 10 = Spelling: everything is spelled correctly
