Over View of YSMO • General Objectives Supporting national economy, economic development plans and assistance national industries, make sure to match their products for it and its quality sure to enhance their competitiveness against foreign products in domestic and overseas markets. Contribute to ensuring and providing health protection, public safety and protecting environment. Contribute to promote exporters capabilities for industrial agricultural products and other local materials by providing information and data about standards and test methods about those goods and materials in different countries. Preparation and adoption mandatory and voluntary standards and legal calibers for jewelry to provide technical underpinnings to contribute the combating adulteration, misinformation and indiscriminate reduction import the goods, materials, jewelry and precious metals. Spreading awareness among citizens about arising damages by consumption of materials and commodities not conforming to Yemeni Standards.
