AdHoc • Jaringan wireless ygmenggunakanstandar 802.11, memilikifitur yang memungkinkanparakliendidalamnyadapatsalingberkomunikasisatusama lain denganmetode peer-to-peer (tidakada yang berfungsisebagai server) langsungmelaluiperangkat wireless mereka. • SistemAdHocsamahalnyadengandirect connection darisatukomputerkesatukomputerlainnyadenganmengunakan twist pair cable (kabel LAN biasa) tanpaperangkat HUB.

  5. Cont.. • SistemAdHochanyamemerlukan 1 buah computer yang memilikinama SSID (Service Set Identifier) ataunamasederhananyasebuah network padasebuah wireless device/Komputer. Satukomputerdihubungkankekomputer lain dengansalingmengenal SSID. • DenganfungsiAdHoc, Perangkatberkemampuan wireless (laptop, PDA, dll) dapatbertindaksebagaisebuah node yang independendanmembentuksebuahjaringansendiri.
