  2. Humber’s CAMP CHOICE • A 3-day college experience (overnight field trip) open to grade 6, 7 & 8 students from across Ontario. • Introduces a wide variety of college programs and career paths PRIOR to entering high school. What is Humber’s CAMP CHOICE?

  3. Humber’s CAMP CHOICE • In depth exposure to College (all aspects) • Breaks down barriers (change of environment) • The opportunity to visualize a future (a pathway) • Opens dialogue about Post Secondary Education options prior to entering high school. Benefits to Students (and Teachers)

  4. Humber’s CAMP CHOICE Steady Growth • 2006 – “Pilot program” with 114 participants • 2009 – Over 1,000 participants • 2008/2009 – SCWI Activity funding for 300 participants • 2009 – FGS funding to pilot first Aboriginal Camp (85/6 First Nations)
