Student E-Mail Cookbook CODE Do: • Make subject specific • Use proper spelling, grammar, & punctuation • Address recipient properly • Use complete sentences • Re-read before sending • Include appropriate signature Don’t: • Abbreviate words • Use emotion icons :} • Use colors or fonts difficult to read • Include signature that reads like a billboard of your life • Discuss personal or confidential information • Send or forward emails containing defamatory, offensive, racist, or obscene remarks.
