Point Source Pollution • An identifiable source of pollution that directly enters the water • Ex. Pollution being dumped into a river via a pipe from a factory • Ex. Directly dumping trash into a river
Non Point Source Pollution • Pollution that INDIRECTLY enters our water through run off • Spread out over large areas • Example: Fertilizers from lawn washed into a river with the rain
