We all Need a Savior(Isa. 7:14; 9:6; Micah 5:2) • Some expect a Savior to save from financial crisis…political oppression …social injustice…poverty…disease… • Riches come and go, Jas. 1:9-11 • Oppression continues, Jas. 5:1-8 • Unjust governments exist, Matt. 22:17-21 • Poverty remains, Mark 14:7

  5. We all Need a Savior(Isa. 7:14; 9:6; Micah 5:2) • Life is uncertain and brief,James 4:13-17 • We all need salvation from our sins(Romans 3:23; 6:23) • Otherwise we face just punishment,Ephesians 2:1-5

  6. Make Room for the Savior(Luke 2:7) • Many hearts have no room for Savior • Hardness due to sin, Matt. 13:14-15 • Pride of self-sufficiency, Jno. 9:41 • Worldly cares, deceitfulness of riches and desire for other things, Mk. 4:19 • Self-righteousness, Lk. 18:9-14

  7. Make Room for the Savior(Luke 2:7) • Room for the Savior requires… • Humble heart, Matt. 11:25-26 • Faithful, obedient life, Matt. 7:21-23 (Rev. 17:14)

  8. Jesus is the Savior(Luke 2:6-7, 11; John 4:42) • Repentance and forgiveness of sins, Acts 5:31 • Sent by the Father, 1 Jno. 4:14 • Ordained by God, Isa. 9:6 • Child is born (humanity) • Son is given (deity), Isa. 7:14

  9. Jesus is the Savior(Luke 2:6-7, 11; John 4:42) • Source of rule and peace, Isa. 9:7; Luke 2:13-14 • Eternal rule and His kingdom are established with “justice and righteousness”,Heb. 1:8-9 (Jer. 23:5-6)

  12. Give Yourself to the Savior(Matthew 2:11) • Only then will Jesus save you, Matt. 11:28-30; Acts 2:36-38 • New creature in Christ, 2 Cor. 5:17; Eph. 4:17-24 • Give Him your heart…your body…your all to serve holiness and righteousness of truth

  13. God has Given us a Savior! • How will you receive him? • “No room” due to a hard heart, pride, worldly cares…? • With a humble heart and an obedient life of faith?
