  3. In the news today, Friday, November 4, 2011: This weekend is the final weekend for voting for the Chorus in the "Glee" 1 million dollar give-away. Please vote at gleegiveanote.com for Northside High School. We have almost 2000 votes, but we can't afford to fall behind this weekend.

  4. Interested in playing girls soccer in the Spring? There will be a mandatory informational meeting in Coach Keller’s Room in Room 304 after school on Wednesday November 9th. If you have any questions please see Coach Keller or Coach Roberts.

  5. There will be a mandatory Science Olympiad meeting Monday, November 7th in room 409.

  6. There will be a junior council meeting on Tuesday, November 8th at 8am in portable 7. Please make every effort to attend.

  7. Any student who ordered a letter jacket through the NEFF representative needs to see Coach Ingram as soon as possible.

  8. The Columbus Jr Snakes Ice Hockey team will play on Sunday, Nov. 6 2 p.m. at the Columbus Ice Rink vs. Woodstock, Sunday, Nov. 13 2 p.m. at the Columbus Ice Rink vs. Woodstock, Sunday, Dec. 11 2 p.m. at the Columbus Ice Rink vs. Collins Hill. Northside has 6 members of the team Timothy Murphy, Trent Nobles, Greg Sedlar, McKenzie Stringfellow, Nick House, and Miller Gantt. Everyone is invited to come out & "white out the rink". Good luck.

  9. Now for a few words of wisdom: Every day, we make many choices. Some choices are very small, like  deciding whether to take the chocolate or the vanilla ice cream; and some  are very big, like deciding whether to do the right thing or not. Now listen to great American statesman William Jennings Bryan. He says: Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice.

  10. Our destiny is basically our destination in life - where we are headed. Mr. Bryan is saying that our choices determine our final destination ... they  determine the outcome of our lives. If you want to create a successful and happy future, pause for a moment today and ask yourself this: Are my choices taking me in the right direction?
