Year 6 Cycling Teaching children how to control their bikes
What it’s for Ray Sells came in with his partner Sam and took two groups of year 6 children. They taught the children some useful skills they would need on the road, including how to control and check their bikes. This means they will be safer on the road.
What we learnt • We learnt how to check your bike and helmet, preventing you from putting yourself in danger when cycling. • We learnt how to control a bike and keep it from crashing by having the obstacle of a partner running beside you. • Surprisingly, we had the important lesson of teamwork, as when we were working as a team we had to work together and co-operate to be able to win the race.
