AYAH 30 And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority." They said, "Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?" Allah said, "Indeed, I know that which you do not know."

AYAH 30 • Seen FaaKaaf – to spill • DaalMeemWaw – plural form for blood (they will shed lots of blood) • Why did the angels mention this? • The species before human did the same as well because of free will • Khalifais supposed to establish justice on the earth; so the angels are asking if humans will cause fasad
AYAH 30 • SEEN BAA HAA – lit. to travel a long distance; Tasbeeh: to declare Allah free from anything that does not befit Him. Tasbeeh done in words and also in the heart • HAMD – negation is only partial praise; to say only the good things someone does or the bad things that someone doesn’t do • In tasbeeh there is negation and in hamd there is affirmation = complete praise

AYAH 30 • The angels are saying that if you’re creating a species for glorifying Allah, then we’re already doing that • Allah SWT only knows the wisdom of creating Adam A.S. • There are humans who do fasaad, but so many do good as well, and worship sincerely • Angels don’t have to face any challenges but humans have to fight their own nafs, shaitaan etc.
What do we Learn from this Ayah? Allah told us about our origin, He didn’t leave us in Mystery Key For Good Relations Before doing a task, it is liked that you present what you are about to do
AYAH 31 And He taught Adam the names - all of them. Then He showed them to the angels and said, "Inform Me of the names of these, if you are truthful."
AYAH 31 • AAIN LAAM MEEM – to give or to teach knowledge; used for formal teaching • Adam – (Admah): surface/crust of the earth; he was created from mud • Al Asmaa – 1. All things that have names; 2. all those things that were present at that time; 3. the names of all the human beings/his children • NOON BAA HAMZA – important & relevant news
What do we Learn from Ayah 31? Importance of Knowledge Allah gave the angels a quiz and proved it to them that Adam(a.s) knew more than them. Allah taught them through Practical Example
AYAH 32 • Angels didn’t have the knowledge of those things • They acknowledge and realize their mistake • Hakeem = all Your actions and decisions and sayings are based on wisdom
AYAH 32: LESSONS Beautiful Reaction of Angels They Submitted Greatness is in submitting, accepting your mistake
AYAH 33 He said, "O Adam, inform them of their names." And when he had informed them of their names, He said, "Did I not tell you that I know the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and the earth? And I know what you reveal and what you have concealed."
AYAH 33 • BAA DAAL WAW – to make something known/reveal unintentionally • KAAF TAA MEEM – to hide something deliberately • Allah SWT is saying to the angels that I know what you were thinking and what you reveal; so we should also be careful with our thoughts
AYAH 34 And [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate before Adam"; so they prostrated, except for Iblees. He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers.
AYAH 34 • Sajdah – place your forehead on the ground out of humility to the person • The angels did this because it was a command of Allah SWT • Sajdah out of respect NOT worship • The angels had to respect Adam A.S. because he had more knowledge than them Angels Submission Refusal and Arrogance Disbelief
AYAH 34 • BAA LAAM SEEN – completely hopeless; hopeless of Allah’s mercy • HAMZA BAA YAA – to refuse something harshly “no way”
Arrogance Obedience
AYAH 34 • KAAF BAA RAA – Shaitaan became extremely arrogant • Who is Iblees? • He was and is a jinn; father of jinns • He was very righteous therefore, he was in the company of the angels • But it was only outwardly, therefore his heart had not truly submitted to Allah • I am made of fire, and fire is better than clay
AYAH 34 • KUFR: kufr of arrogance • Iblees refused one sajdah and that was only to Adam A.S. and his result was that he became a disbeliever • So what about when we refuse to do sajdah to Allah SWT in salaah?
LESSONS • Angels Submission • Refusal and Arrogance Disbelief • Do we become hopeless of Allah’s mercy, and if so, then who are we resembling?
