Project summary ADD ME! is a pan European network bringing together into a Community of Practice the different social/institutional organizations and intermediaries that support disadvantaged groups in becoming major beneficiaries of public services to which they are entitled. ADD ME! shall contribute to the creation of a new paradigm in public service delivery based on collaborative work among social/institutional organizations, intermediaries and citizens’ representatives.
The Network The ADD ME! network was conceived by members of the ELANET (CEMR) European network initiative and their partners in the participating countries as a contribution to the DIGITAL LOCAL AGENDA (DLA) initiative A relevant number of organizations from 8 European countries interested in building a strong network to empower organizations working on a daily basis with disadvantaged groups in the use of government services that make use of the information and communication technologies
Objectives Federate the different aspects of Inclusive eGovernment by creating a community of practice on the web engaging actual/potential social and institutional intermediaries to support disadvantaged groups Create awareness on the need of pro-active inclusive eGovernment policies at European, national and regional/local level, through a specific campaign, live events, focused meetings and a range of web services tailored to exchange experiences and knowledge between the members joining the network Disseminate good practices, provide capacity building to intermediaries, supply appropriate input and support to replicated successful initiatives
Target disadvantaged groups Elderly poor and retired senior Youngsters not in education, employment and training (NEET), and non-EU teenagers that are integrating into a local community Individual civil servants from small or medium size local governments suffering of digital divide
Project strategy The strategy of the network is flexible and multi-channel, combining different ways to approach public and local services: from more traditional channels to more innovative ICT enabled services During the first year of the ADD ME! project, the network shall be launched using web 2.0 techniques; focused discussions and workshops will be carried-out to engage intermediaries willing to share their experiences, look at others best practices, develop new methodologies and services for inclusive eGovernment policies and actions A practical manual for multi-channel policies and actions dealing with inclusive eGovernment will be launched during the second and final year
