  3. What is EIA ?......................... • An environmental impact assessment (EIA) is an assessment of the possible impact—positive or negative—that a proposed project may have on the environment, together consisting of the natural, social and economic aspects.

  5. Broadening the scope of EIA can benefit threatened species conservation. • projects bring economic advantages but there are other adverse effects, which have been overlooked. • A very important part of environment impact assessment is identification of the impact on the flora and fauna

  10. Total 7.9208 hectare of private land would be acquired for this project. It is proposed to pay cash compensation to the concerned persons, minimum at the rate prescribed by the state government for such compensation. Compensation for standing crops, trees available on the proposed land shall be paid extra. It is suggested to ensure that affected persons have been adequately paid & compensated before taking possession of the land. A provision of Rs 10 lakhs has been earmarked for compensation towards damages during construction Relief & Rehabilitation Rehabilitation
