  1. Best Practices Tool Box Used for Building Service Programs Best practices used in schools to create and sustain strong Building Service programs, work relationships, and promote team work

  2. Biannual Meetings With All School Staff • Beginning of the Year—Power Point, Building Service Manager introduces staff, and gives sample satisfaction survey to school staff • Mid Year—Presents survey data, recognizes Building Service team accomplishments and opportunities for improvement

  3. Other Periodic Meetings • Schedule monthly or as needed meetings with Principal • Schedule with Administrative Secretary • Sample Agenda • Share Your Annual Calendar • Administration Monthly Operations Meetings with Building Service Manager, Cafeteria Manager, Security Team Leader, etc.

  4. Communication and Team Building • Daily meetings with the assistant manager • Daily Team Huddle (10 minutes) with Building Service staff • Meeting agenda for team should include: • Celebrations of individual and team successes • Updates • Feedback, recommendations and suggestions

  6. Planning and Organization Tools • Sample Event Planning Sheet • Monthly and Yearly Calendar • Detailed Cleaning Plan (STC) should be clearly written, communicated and posted for all school staff
