  1. Rational Numbers in the Real World By: Ravi Chikhliya Mrs. Hudspeth 10-5-10 7th grade 5th period

  2. Football stats • Quarterbacks use stats to keep track of their completions and ratings. For example Peyton Manning, one of the best quarterbacks of his time, uses stats (rational numbers) to stay on track. 2010 stats (4 games)

  3. Baseball stats • Baseball players also check their stats to stay on track with their BA, HR’s, RBI’s and sluggging percentage. Josh Hamilton keeps his batting average up by keeping up with his stats. Josh Hamilton currently has the highest batting average in the MLB. 2010 stats

  4. Basketball stats • If players look at their stats they can see what they are lacking at. Then when they go to practice they can practice the area that they have been lacking in.

  5. Summary • Now you know that careers such as sports even use rational numbers. • Many careers involve using rational numbers. • You can never run away from rational numbers!
