Grades K-4 • Standardized Curriculum—teachers have the flexibility to supplement • Testing conducted in the spring and fall • Kindergarten identified in early spring • Students are clustered with gifted peers • Grades 3-4 receive 150 minutes per week pull out • Parent meetings conducted in early fall • Science fair in conjunction with the AAGT • Academic Meet sponsored by AAGT

  3. Grades 5-6 • Students are clustered with gifted peers • Standardized curriculum—teachers have flexibility to supplement • Testing conducted in the spring and fall • Parent meetings conducted in early fall • Math/Science Team • UIL—Ready Writing, Number Sense, etc.--Hoover

  4. Grades 7-8 • Pre-Ap (Pre-Advanced Placement) in Math, ELA, Science, Social Studies • Summer work required • Math/Science Team • UIL Events—Number Sense, One-Act Play, etc.

  6. ACT Comparison AzleHS/State Azle HS students have continued to exceed state levels with regards to being prepared for college level work as the graph shows. Our average ACT scores surpass state scores in all areas.

Advanced Placement Awards Azle High School Class of 2011 • AP Scholars 7 • Received at least a score of 3 on three or more AP exams • AP Scholar with Honors 3 • Received an average score of 3.25 on all exams taken • AP Scholar with Distinction 2 • Received at least a score of 3.5 on all exams taken • National AP Scholar 1 • Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 4
