Finding Main idea • It is important to find main ideas when reading. Main ideas help readers remember important information.The main idea of a paragraph tells the topic of the paragraph. The topic tells what all or most of the sentences are about.
Types of Main idea • There are two kinds of main idea. • Stated main idea is a main idea that the author directly states in the passage. • Implied main idea is a main idea that the author doesn’t directly state, but you are able to figure it out from the details in the passage.
Is this main idea stated or implied? • Always warm up before attempting any strength training exercises. Remember to use proper lifting procedures for safety sake. In addition, to avoid harm, make sure that you have a spotter with you if you are using free weights. You can also avoid injury by working within your limits and avoiding the need to show off.
