Schäfer1 1Max-Planck-Institute for Radio Astronomy, 2Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Solid State Physics, 3CSIRO • W-Band LNAs: • Optimization of W-Band LNAs using the IAF-mHEMT Technology within the AETHRA-Project (Advanced European Technologies for Heterodyne Receivers for Astronomy) • Recent measurements show that the noise performance of LNAs in mHEMT-Technology deliver equal performance as compared to the best InP-HEMT LNAs • Noise- gain-measurement will be shown

Schäfer1 1Max-Planck-Institute for Radio Astronomy, 2Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Solid State Physics, 3CSIRO • Presentation of: • a tiltable cryogenic test-dewar for the measurement of noise- and S-parameter (waveguide and coaxial) • a universal cryogenic test-dewar for the measurement of S-parameter • Automatic test system for temperature cycling of LNAs -> MTBF • S-parameter measurement of a MeerKat LNA, which survived 830 cooling cycles
