Pressure Steam Humidifiers Designed to deliver Reliable humidity from facility steam boilers
What is LiveSteam? • LiveSteam humidifiers utilizes existing facility boiler steam for humidification in one of two ways: • Directly introduce boiler steam into the duct work for humidification • Utilize boiler steam as the energy source to generate clean steam for humidification
Why Use LiveSteam? • A source of central steam is • available • Inexpensive • Energy efficient

Electric Controls Temperature Switch
Pneumatic Controls Temperature Switch
Distributor Discharging Water? • Ensure “T” is from top of main • Verify steam trap operation • Ensure steam trap orifice is not clogged • Ensure proper amount of steam traps • Ensure pipe and traps are sized correctly
Water Leaks from Tube Adapters? • O-ring damaged or missing • Connection not tight • Distributor not supported properly at other end resulting in stress on the tube adapter and o-ring
Over Humidifying? • Incorrect valve size • Steam pressure too high • Exceeded max close off pressure of the actuator • Controls not calibrated or malfunctioning • Steam valve stuck open • Damaged seat in the valve • Spring tension on actuator too light or loose
Under Humidifying? • Incorrect valve size • Insufficient amount of steam (undersized boiler) • Controls out of calibration • Header size too small • Steam pressure too low or fluctuating
Humidity Swings? • Doors/Windows etc. opening and closing • Location of controls (ie. High limit too close to distribution) • Fluctuating steam supply pressure to the unit
Spitting During Start-Up? • Temperature switch not installed or not functioning • Incorrect valve size • Boiler carrying too much condensate
Condensate in Duct? • Duct too cold • Distributors too close to duct wall • Higher air velocity required (300 ft/min minimum) • Absorption distance calculations are incorrect • Incorrect valve size • Malfunctioning or lack of safety high limit humidistat
