Affirmative Action • We do not support the policy of Affirmative Action • Our party supports a level playing field in hiring and college application processes • We believe that this policy • Is a form of reverse discrimination • Is unfair to people not part of a group that experiences discrimination

  3. Gay Rights • We support gay marriage • We believe this should be a federal decision • We believe • The government should not be able to judge who people want to marry • Gay couples should have a right to the same healthcare as heterosexual couples

  4. Immigration • We believe that the immigration process should be easier • This would • Prevent need for border control • Allow illegal immigrants to become legal • Save taxpayer dollars spent on controlling illegal immigrants

  5. Energy Sources • We believe the government should actively support the green energy movement • We believe the government should • Place high taxes on fossil fuels • Decrease any taxes on green energy • Actively support companies with revolutionary alternative energy ideas

  6. Abortion • We support the woman’s right to choose • We believe that • A woman should not be forced to give birth to a child that is a result of rape • A woman’s right to choose should not be a public decision or be scrutinized by the government • Many woman that have an abortion may not be able to afford a child and therefore shouldn’t have to give a child up for adoption

  7. Healthcare • We believe in a nationalized healthcare system • We believe • It should not be paid for by money taken from other programs • All citizens should have a right to healthcare • Saving peoples’ lives is more important than the money it costs to do so

  8. Education • We support the lowering of college costs through government grants to colleges • We do not support the policy of teacher tenure • We believe standardized tests should only be used in limited amounts • We do not support mandatory pre-K

  9. Economic and Mortgage Crisis • We believe that • Government bailout programs are harmful • There should be a large-scale federal reform of the mortgage crisis to allow people to afford homes • The government should help stimulate the green energy movement to allow it to become more established

  10. National Debt • We believe that • Taxes must be raised to pay back the national debt • Support programs should not be cut that help those in need • People who can work should be forced of welfare programs and put to work • The upper class should help by paying higher levels of taxes until the debt is erased

  11. Regulation of Business and Commerce • Businesses must be regulated to protect the consumer • We believe • Companies who pollute the environment should be fined and their taxes should be raised • Companies that are clean should have lower taxes • The harm regulations do is outweighed by the protection of the American People

  12. Internet Censorship • We at the Citrus Party support a completely uncensored internet • We believe • People’s internet use should not be able to be monitored • People should be responsible for their own internet security • The internets strength comes from its uncensored nature
