Two most commonly grown species are Arabica and Robusta.About three-quarters of the world’s coffee production is Arabica and rest is Robusta.
Arabica beans tend to have a sweeter, taste with tones of sugar. While Robusta has a stronger and harsher taste.
Robusta coffee is easier to grow. They can grow at lower altitudes than Arabicas. Ideal average temperatures range between 15°C to 24°C for Arabica coffee and 24°C to 30°C for Robusta.
