About NASPE • Non-profit membership association • Largest of five national associations that comprise the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD) • AAHPERD= 121 years • NASPE= 32 years • 16,000 members consisting of physical education teachers, coaches, athletic trainers, sport administrators, researchers, college/university professional preparation faculty NASPESets the Standard
