Umlani Bush Camp Type/Location: Bush Camp, Timbavati Nature Reserve, Kruger National Park Rooms: 8 x African reed and thatch rondavels, 4 family units and 4 double units, each with their own private en suite facilities and open air shower (no bath) Nearest International Airport: Johannesburg OR Tambo (JNB) Distance & Travel Time: 500km / 6-7hrs by car Eastgate Airport / Hoedspruit Airport (HDS), this airport is serviced by SA Express, 3 direct flights per week from Cape Town 2.5 hours flight time and 2 flights per day from Johannesburg OR Tambo (JNB) 1 hour flight time. Nearest Domestic Airport: Distance & Travel Time: 30km / 30min by car Facilities & Attractions at the Property: Swimming pool, nearby tree house for game and bird watching, Tree house sleep outs, bar/deck area overlooking waterhole, Bush walks, night drives, game drives in open Land Rovers. No electricity other than solar power to charge camera batteries etc. The Camp is an ideal nature lovers choice Nearby Facilities & Attractions: Blyde River Canyon, 3 Rondavels, Gods Window, Bourkes Luck Potholes, Horse riding, Micro lighting, Hot air ballooning, Elephant-back safaris, Moholoholo Animal Rehabilitation Centre, Boat cruise on the Blyde River Dam – see Hippo’s Crocodiles & Tufa (this is a variety of limestone and geologically a very rare occurrence...only a few in the world) Dining Facilities: Umlani is full board and any special requirements can be arranged with managements. Special dining arrangements can be made for children. Breakfast is served after the morning game drive from 09:00hrs Lunch is served from 13:30hrs Dinner is served from 19:30hrs Child Facilities: Children of all ages are welcome. Children are allowed on game drives as long as accompanied by parent. Babysitting services and baby cots can be organized if prior notice is given. Supervision at the swimming pool must be pre-arranged as there is no fencing around the swimming pool. Children under the age of 12 are not allowed on bushwalks due to safety reasons Umlani has a wheelchair friendly unit, staff can assist movement throughout the remainder of the camp.
