  4. Practice Act Language • Next major focus of committee • Ensure that athletic trainers are able to practice to the full scope of their education, training and knowledge • Charged with this task by Vision Quest Project • Consistent language?

Student Athlete Safety legislation • If athletic trainer in every high school, these laws wouldn’t be necessary, however…….. • This wave of legislation shows no signs of abating • Involved in supporting states to ensure that good legislation goes forward that protects student athletes and doesn’t hinder athletic trainer’s ability to practice

  6. Reimbursement Legislation • Start to see legislation regarding mandating insurance company reimbursement of ATs • NATAGAC role
