  2. Introduction I love to learn about things and I was very interested to learn about geckos. They seemed like a very cool animal too. I had a really fun time doing this power point and here it is my power point on geckos. Enjoy!

  3. Habitat • Found in rocky deserts • Mountains • In Southern hemisphere • North equator • Jungles • Rainforest • Grass lands • Areas in urban houses

  4. Characteristics • Life is 2 to 9 years • Color tan, black, white, green, blue, orange and yellow • Feet have tiny hairs that stick to different surfaces like walls ceilings windows etc. • Tails store body fat and water • Scales protect them from the sun

  5. food • Insects • Small birds • Worms • Mice • Moss • Plants • Carnivores • Eat small reptiles • Prey to large spiders, snakes, larger birds

Interesting facts • Over 2,000 different kinds of geckos • If tail is snagged or bitten the gecko twist it off and falls off able to do because tail can grow back • Makes tiny squeaking noise, stands tall, waves tail over back and pushes up and down when frighten • Good luck in Hawaii • Cleans mouth and eye with tongue • Most are nocturnal

  8. All About the Author Peyton likes to play hockey with her dad and her friends. She also plays lacrosse and soccer. Her favorite color is blue and her favorite food is ice cream. She has one sister named Addyson and a cat named Gretzgey. She loves to play with her friend during school and after school.
