If you have a small glass scratch, know that it is very possible to get the glass back to pristine condition by following a few simple tricks.   3. While smaller scratches can be fixed by homemade remedies, deeper scratches will require professional assistance. Here are some common household remedies for fixing scratches;

  4. Toothpaste Before you remove a glass scratch, you have to ensure that the surface of the glass is dry, flat and clean. Once you have readied the surface, apply a dot of white, gel free toothpaste to a damp and lint free cloth. Then you will need to rub the cloth over the scratched surface in slow and circular motions for close to 30 seconds. Then look for signs of improvement, you are free to reapply the toothpaste as many times as you want until you are pleased with the results. The Glass scratch removal should vanish after a few applications with the cloth.

  5. Clear Nail Polish Clear nail polish has the power to remove scratches from glass surfaces without damaging the surface of the glass. Using the nail polish brush spread a thin layer over the site of the scratch. The clear polish will fill into any of the grooves made by the scratch and your glass will look as good as new. Let the polish dry for an hour and then wipe away at the site with a clean cloth that has been dipped in nail polish remover.

  6. Baking Soda Mixture Take a spoonful of baking soda and water and create a mix. Use a damp cloth dipped in the mixture to rub in the paste with slow and circular motions. Keep on repeating the process until the scratch is gone or is barely noticeable.

  7. Metal Polish Clean the scratched area and ensure that it is dry before application of the metal polish. Apply the polish to a cotton swab and gently rub it into the scratch with a circular motion. Use a clean and damp cloth to wipe away any excess metal polish but be careful not to apply the metal polish to the same glass area more than once as it can damage the glass surface.
