  2. Choose 1 message • An effective poster is ... • Focused Focus on a single message. • Graphic Lets graphs and images tell the story; uses text sparingly. • Ordered Keeps the sequence well-ordered and obvious.

  3. Use clear graphics • Make your drawings neat and colorful. • Make your drawings illustrate your point. • Drawings should take up most of the poster.

You should not use organizational constructs that defy reader gravity - it will confuse viewers, which is not what you want to happen.
