  2. Titles • The opening Titles for Sixth Sense are written out like text from a Type writer. This is very common for Thrillers. It uses very small text that slowly stretches apart to make it harder for the viewer to read and forces them to concentrate on what their watching and almost literally look closer.

  3. Camera shots • Most of the camera shots in the first cellar scene were used to either highlight the emotion on her face or to give the feeling she is being watched. For example a POV is used to show the perspective of someone watching her in her own house that we haven’t seen yet which builds fear and mystery. A close up of her face and other mid shots were all used to highlight her changes o emotion (Giddy/drunk to happy to worried and scared).

  4. Location/Setting • The location is in their house (the main character's) and it’s used as an ordinary setting to create extraordinary events which is typical of thriller plots. The objects in the bedroom are used to create big and dramatic shadows creating mystery and apprehension.

  5. Props • All the props in the opening of Sixth sense are everyday objects but the light and how they are positions creates strong shadows which build fear and tension because it takes something the viewer is comfortable with and makes it discomforting and scary like the phone in the bedroom its placed on the floor not on a table which is the ordinary out of the ordinary which creates fear and its covered in smashed glass which adds to the mystery and asks the viewer why its there.
