  1. What Is The Difference Between What Is The Difference Between Digital Printing Digital Printing & & Screen Printing? Screen Printing?

  2. Screen Printing Screen Printing In screen screen printing printing, the process involves the creation of a stencil which the printers call a"screen". This stencil is used to apply layers of ink to the printing surface and for each color, a different stencil is needed. The stencil is used and colors are applied one at a time, to complete the image. Screen Screen printing printing best suited for designs that demand a higher level of vibrancy such as dark shirts, or specialty products. The ink through the screen printing process is applied thicker compared to digital printing and this thickness results in brighter colors even when the surface applied to is dark. What makes the process completely unique is that products are printed by hand using screen printing which also results in unique products like water bottles, mugs, etc. The printer can manually print on the curved or uneven surfaces leading to vibrant and clearer prints.

  3. Digital Printing Digital Printing Digital Digital printing printing is a new age printing method that involves computerized processing of the artwork. Once the computer processing has been done, the artwork gets printed directly to the surface of the intended printed product. There’s no heat transfer involved in digital printing and the ink is directly applied to the shirt fabric or any other surface of your choice. Digital Digital printing printing is great for printings items when you want a certain high amount of detail. Since digital printing is not such a laborious process, even a small quantity of orders can be undertaken by printers. Since there are no screens used in digital printing, a photographic print is easily possible and with a lot of details too. Digital printing is best suited for t-shirts with light colors. The benefits of Digital and Screen Printing and the differences: Digital Printing is also called Direct to Garment printing because you can directly put the garment in the printer and have it printed.

  4. So, let’s take a look at the different benefits both of these printing So, let’s take a look at the different benefits both of these printing methods offer: methods offer: Size Size Screen printing is great for all over prints since they are deeper but digital printing is a favored choice for full frontal prints. Feel Feel Screen print gives you the feeling like there’s nothing printed on the surface even when there is. Digital prints, on the other hand, get a bit rubbery on dark t-shirts so screen printing is fantastic for dark colored t-shirts.

  5. Colors Colors Screen print is highly versatile and offers a lot of ink variations but digital printing doesn’t make the blues and violets look that impressive and it doesn’t print the style of metallics that glow in the dark or UV sensitive colors either. Garments Garments Screen print a variety of garments like polyester, bamboo, nylon, burlap, teflon coated fabrics, etc but digital printing is limited to 100% cotton (and polyester) and it only works well on garments in light shades. Speed Speed Screen printing takes time and effort but digital printing is fast and doesn’t need you to prepare the stencils.

  6. Final Final words words Depending on the kind of surface you are printing, you can pick the printing method. Digital printing may be quick, and a cost saver but it still can’t match the quality that screen printing offers, especially on dark t-shirts. However, depending on the turnaround times and budget, you can make a wise choice. Thanks You
