  5. Hyperlinks • What is a hyperlink? • Web Definition • You can link to a website, or a document you have made – but it must be stored where the computer can retrieve it.

  6. Action Buttons • Go to the Insert Tab • Click on Shapes – you can pick anything or go to the bottom and pick one of the Action Buttons. • Make it whatever size you want. • Then (on the Insert Tab) click on Action – figure out where you want the action to go to. Back

Inserting a Video Back • For today – go to Mrs. Krist’s Computer World • Click on 7th Grade PowerPoint page • Choose a video and right click on it to “Save Target As” and save to your Documents. • For Other Projects: • Find a video online or film your own. • Save it to Documents. Remember the name! • Search hint:

  8. Video Instructions Continued • In PowerPoint, go to Insert, Movie, from file. • Find your file in Documents • Once inserted, check out the different options on the Movie Tab (which shows up when you click on the movie) Back

  9. How to Add a Hyperlink • Go to the Insert Tab and click on Hyperlink • Copy and paste the URL (web address) into the address field at the bottom. • You can use the URL as the hyperlink or you can type different text in the text to display bar in the Hyperlink Window. Back

  10. Saving Your File to Mrs. Krist’s Folder • 1st – Save As to your Documents THEN: • Save As • Click on Folders – then click on Network. • When HCSLAB04 shows up, click on Open. • Click on your Homeroom folder. • Save with your name as the filename. Back
