  2. ABOUT A small, low-growing, flowering tree that is typically grown as a rounded shrub, is also known as the Royal Star Magnolia. Due to its small size, Royal Star Magnolia makes a great hedge or screen. Its young, star-shaped white flowers bloom in late winter to early spring and prefer full sun and moist soil. The Royal Star Magnolia Tree grows noticeably taller and can tolerate a range of soil types when it is partially shaded.
