Mitosis Notebook Activity Draw Interphase, Prophase, Metaphase, Anaphase and Telophase in an Animal Cell. Title each page. Label correctly. Color. Describe the events going on in each phase.
Interphase: *Period of normal growth and cell activity. Three stages: G1(growth 1)-Before mitosis can take place, the cell need to store enough energy to drive the chemical processes during the cell division. During this period of time, there is intense cellular activity. The cell grows in size. The length of the grow phase varies between a few hours to a few months, S(synthesis) DNA has replicated, but has not formed the condensed structure of chromosome. They remain as loosely coiled chromatinand G2(growth 2)-growth phase when the cell’s organelles are duplicated. *The nuclear membrane is still intact to protect the DNA molecules from undergoing mutation
