Plains Difference between Plains and Beaches Beaches • Beaches have an ocean near it and it has salt water in it. • Beaches are sandy and have dunes. • Sand is bigger on the Dune. • Plains are basically plain. • It is related to deserts. • Plains can be found near valleys. • It has grass and that’s it.
Charateristics • It can be a great place to live (Sometimes) • The grass turns yellowish during winter. • Plains are called plains because well… it’s just plain.

Plateaus characteristics • Many plateaus are created by lava flowing and then building up with each volcanic eruption. • Plateaus are also formed when magma in the earth pushes upward but does not push through the crust.
If you look at it, it looks like a staircase. This is the Colorado plateau.
