Brushing the Teeth • To brush their teeth they used a cloth to keep them clean. • If there was a bad tooth it was simply pulled out, but back then there were no pain killers. • Mixture of herbs and ashes of burnt rosemary were used to help clean the teeth. • http://www.middle-ages.org.uk/middle-ages-hygiene.htm Image from-http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl
Toilets • For the Upper Class, Kings and Queens had a closet like room with a hole in the floor as a toilet. • For the Middle Class, if they could afford a servant they had vessel bowls that the servants held under them to go to the bathroom. • Lower Class just had vessel bowls and when they were done they would dump it out the window onto the roads.
