  2. Introduction： • Difference between a believer and a disciple: disciples are like apprentices, to learn to be like Jesus. • Different types of Christians: 「Followers」 、「Believers」 、「Disciples」、「Apostles」

  3. 1. What are the costs of discipleship? A、Being intentional • It’s a relationship：disciples must love God and be faithful. This relationship should be above all else. This is the first cost.

  4. 1. What are the costs of discipleship? A、Being intentional • To carry the cross：Willing to carry the cross of suffering and rejection

  5. B、Being joyful • Possessions：Willing to make sacrifices ＊Seeing Jesus as the ultimate treasure

  6. 「Lord, each day I ask 3 things of you: to know you more，to love you deeper，to follow you without faltering」 ＊Asking Jesus to know Him more. The more we know Him the more we’ll love him, and the more we love Him the more we’ll want to follow Him.

  7. 2、Building up the next generation of disciples A. The Great Commission Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” （Matthew 28：18～20）

  8. 「Go」to become「apostles」 「baptise」，this is to be a「believer」 「teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you 」this is to live like Christ，becoming「disciples」

  9. 2、Building up the next generation of disciples B、Being a committed disciple ＊Live like Christ C、Rooted in God’s way ＊Having Christ in your life What Will Jesus Do？ Our actions should reflect that of Jesus

  10. Conclusion：What Will Jesus Do？ Behave as Jesus would. May God help us to be willing to pay the cost of being a disciple，and become useful disciples of God.
