Hunley Crew • First crew August 29 did not know how to handle submarine sank • Second crew October 15 Horace Hunley was captain with seven other men left something open and immediately sank • Final crew February 17 George Dixon was captain managed to put Housatonic on fire sank The H.L. Hunley’s third and final crew.
